Jennifer Burkhalter is a second year Master degree candidate in the Department of Landscape Architecture at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She is a native of Jacksonville, Florida and holds a BFA in drawing and painting from the University of North Florida. Jennifer hopes to combine fine art methods with landscape architecture practices to explore the unique characteristics of a site. Before moving to New Jersey, Jennifer was awarded the Il Chiostro Study Abroad Scholarship for drawing and painting where she visited Florence and Tuscany. Previous exhibitions include: Flux Studio & Gallery, Jacksonville FL, the University of North Florida’s Gallery and the Modis Building in Jacksonville, FL.
This exhibit opened at Rutgers Art Library on February 8, 2013.
The Art Library at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey will open a new exhibition featuring the solo work of Jennifer Burkhalter on Saturday, February 8, 2013. SIGHT/SITE studies the Yew Garden at Rutgers Gardens through charcoal drawings, three-dimensional collages and mixed media pieces.
