About the work

As an artist and librarian, I’m interested in cross-disciplinary collaboration, outreach, engagement, creativity, storytelling, and how diverse communities work together to reach common goals. After learning more about the latest research coming from the Rutgers School of Public Health, I set out to create a piece that explores my understanding of the inequities for minority, racial, and ethnic communities. I see that only through trust, education, and focused efforts will all members of our diverse New Jersey communities have equal access to the COVID-19 vaccine.

This art work is a collaboration between The Rutgers, School of Public Health, Windows for Understanding, and The Rutgers University Libraries.
