This network works to empower Afghan women and ensure their equal participation in Afghan society. It has links to resources including newsletters and "Famous women" consisting of biography of women leaders.
Revolutionary Association of the Women in Afghanistan
Established in 1977, it is an independent political/social organization of Afghan women fighting for human rights and for social justice. The founders were Afghan women intellectuals under the leadership of Meena, who was assassinated in 1987.
It implements projects that involve the poor and the underprivileged directly. The activities are in the areas of health, education, agriculture, literacy and training, income generation, construction and relief distribution.
