Global and Transnational Women's Activism

Founded in 1994 by Palestinians and Israeli women activists, the Jerusalem Link is the coordinating body of the Bat Shalom—The Jerusalem Women's Action Center, located in West Jerusalem, and Marcaz al-Quds la l-Nissah—The Jerusalem Center for Women, located in East Jerusalem. Together they promote a joint vision of peace, democracy, human rights, and women's leadership.

Established in 1984, the IWN is a non-profit organization and the first in Israel dedicated to promoting women’s rights and equality. Many successes of IWN includes initiating the Sexual Harassment Prevention Law of 1998, and the 2005 law establishing a commission for Equal Employment opportunities.
