Receiving ILL/E-ZBorrow Items in Alma

Instructions on receiving ILL (including E-ZBorrow) items in Alma

  1. Log in to Alma using your NetID: http://alma.libraries.rutgers.edu
  2. Go to Fulfillment > Scan in items
  3. Scan barcode (ILL items uses TN; E-ZBorrow items use RTG-########), click OK
  4. If a popup appears with restrictions or note, click CONFIRM
  5. Place item on hold shelf. The patron will receive an email.

Checking out Resource Sharing items

Instructions on checking out items from the Resource Sharing Library to Rutgers patrons

  1. Log in to Alma using your NetID
  2. Go to Fulfillment > Manage Patron Services
  3. Scan the patron's card, click GO
  4. Scan the request barcode, click OK
    1. Any restrictions/notes will pop up
    2. NOTE: the due date is automatically determined by the maximum loan period (except Library Use Only items). Patrons should not be encouraged to request renewals unless absolutely necessary.
  5. If the item is Library Use Only, follow instructions for Reading Room checkout

Returning Resource Sharing items

Instructions for returning an item from the Resource Sharing Library

  1. Log in to Alma using your NetID
  2. Go to Fulfillment > Return Items
  3. Scan or type in band barcode (request number), click OK
  4. Pop up box will say that the item destination is Resource Sharing Library. Click OK
  5. Send item to ILS-TSB

Changing Pickup Location

Does the patron need to change the pickup location?
