Other Reopening Workflows

Reopening Workflow for Hold Shelf Processing: This document outlines a process for sorting active hold shelf items for materials held in electronic format. IIS will send electronic access letters to patrons with requests in this category and Click and Collect instructions to patrons with standing requests of print-only materials.

Returns: Patron returns will be quarantined for five days (120 hours) before checkin. Patrons will be notified via signage that there will be a delay in checkins. Materials will be backdated when returned in Alma using the Backdating Returns After Quarantine workflow

Course Reserves: With the exception of personal copies and materials on permanent reserves, print-only reserves should be returned to circulating collections if possible.

Block Limit: The block limit has been extended to $500 and users with fines of any amount are able to place holds for Click and Collect and personal delivery. Blocks over $500 should be used as an opportunity to remind patrons of missing checkouts, but should not prevent materials circulating.
