Boot Camps for Graduate Student Success

Information related to the Boot Camps that are provided to Rutgers University-Newark graduate students by the Graduate School-Newark, John Cotton Dana Library, Learning Center, and Writing Center thanks to funding received from the Chancellor's Seed Grant

About the Writing & Publishing Boot Camp

The Writing & Publishing Skills Boot Camp takes places over two full days. The purpose of this boot camp is to prepare graduate students on writing their dissertations and provide them with tips on how to publish their work. It will cover the research process; research notebook; the dissertation process; writing a literature review; attribution and citation; editing and revision; and getting your work published. We hope attendees will successfully complete their dissertations and successfully publish while in graduate school or shortly thereafter.

Below are the dates, times, and locations for the Writing & Publishing Skills Boot Camps, along with links to the Registration Form (which includes a Pre-Boot Camp assessment component that will help us better serve the needs of attendees). Seating is limited to the first 20 graduate students who register.  If it turns out you are unable to attend, please let us know one week in advance so that your seat can be given to someone on the waiting list.

* Please note that this Boot Camp may be recorded and the recording made available online to anyone unable to attend in person. By registering for this Boot Camp, you are agreeing to the possibility of being part of this recording.

If you have any questions about the Writing & Publishing Skills Boot Camp, please contact Marne Benson (marneb@newark.rutgers.eduor Bonnie Fong (bonnie.fong@rutgers.edu).
