Information related to the Boot Camps that are provided to Rutgers University-Newark graduate students by the Graduate School-Newark, John Cotton Dana Library, Learning Center, and Writing Center thanks to funding received from the Chancellor's Seed Grant

About the Literature Research Boot Camp

The Literature Research Skills Boot Camp takes places over two full days. The purpose of this boot camp is to prepare graduate students in doing literature research at the graduate school level. This boot camp will teach skills such as library catalog, database, and Internet search strategies; how to conduct literature reviews; current awareness tips; citation management tools; and how to cite sources (to avoid plagiarism).

Below are the dates, times, and locations for the Literature Research Skills Boot Camps, along with a link to the Registration Form (which includes a Pre-Boot Camp assessment component that will help us better serve the needs of attendees). Seating is limited to the first 30 graduate students who register.  If it turns out you are unable to attend, please let us know one week in advance so that your seat can be given to someone on the waiting list.

* Please note that this Boot Camp will be recorded and the recording made available online to anyone unable to attend in person. By registering for this Boot Camp, you are agreeing to the possibility of being part of this recording.

If you have any questions about the Literature Research Skills Boot Camp, please contact Ann Watkins (ann.watkins@rutgers.edu) or Bonnie Fong (bonnie.fong@rutgers.edu).
