How to use Simple Search

Simple Search allows for quick, basic searching.

After logging into Factiva, click on Home to get the search bar that runs across the top. (Below the search bar you'll see some recent news from the front page of the Wall Street Journal).

Entering Your Search

Say you’re interested in the latest news regarding the U.S. census.

Type census into the search bar ... as you start typing, a dialogue box brings up suggestions for Companies, News subjects, Companies, Executives, Regions and Keywords relating to the census. If you select U.S. Census bureau, you get results that are tagged, or indexed with the code for the U.S. Census bureau within the past three months (which is the default date range).
