In most Rutgers buildings you can access all resources provided by Rutgers University Libraries simply via logging in with your NetID to My Account in the top right corner on the RUL homepage. We recommend starting your library research session with this step to have instant access to millions of articles, journals, books, databases, and more.
When prompted (e.g., trying to download the full text of an article from a database or journal), you may need to log in one more time to access articles hosted on the platform of various content providers.
TIP: When you are logged in, you can search not only RUL resources, but also resources from other academic libraries. In QuickSearch, use the Expand My Search button in the left panel (which will show up after your first search).
Virtual Private Networks (VPN) provide identical search experience and access to RUL resources as if you were physically on site. Activate the VPN service and download AnyConnect through the link below (the same page where you activate Zoom, Webex, and Adobe.
Problems? Ask your department’s IT professional for help setting it up.
If you are experiencing access problems you may want to start troubleshooting on your own first. A few steps that helped others in the past: closing and restarting your browser, trying a different browser, rebooting your computer, and checking to see whether your log in works in other places where it's required such as email or MyRutgers.
