Special Collections and University Archives: Photographs and Prints

This curated selection of archival materials and event documentation capture moments from the special event “Livi at 50: A Celebration of Livingston College’s 50th Anniversary.” Held at the James Dickson Carr Library on Livingston Campus on October 25, 2019, it was hosted by Rutgers University–New Brunswick Libraries and the Livingston Alumni Association.

"Vertigo, by Lynd Ward" is an online presentation of the Special Collections and University Archives (New Brunswick Libraries). It was mounted in conjunction with a gallery exhibition of the woodblocks created by Lynd Ward for his graphic novel Vertigo (1937), which ran from February 2 to March 22, 2003.

Miriam Schapiro was a feminist, an artist, and an educator. She is well known for being one of the mothers of feminist art.
This exhibit was part of the Opening of the Miriam Schapiro Collection event on May 7, 2019.

The Scarlet and Black Project Digital Archive illuminates the history of Rutgers University and slavery in New Jersey, the lives of free people of color in New Brunswick, and the experiences of the first black men and women to matriculate at the university.
