RISM: International Inventory of Musical Sources after 1600
Annotated index and guide to music manuscripts produced after 1600. The manuscripts are found in over 740 libraries and archives in more than 30 countries worldwide. The database, Series A/II of Répertoire International des Sources Musicales (RISM), is linked to three other databases providing additional information to specific content: Composer, Library Sigla and Bibliographic Citations. It contains over 740,000 searchable music incipits which can be viewed as musical scores.
Entertainment Industry Magazine Archive
In the Entertainment Industry Magazine Archive collection, Rutgers has access to Music Magazine Archives in the genres of folk, hip-hop, and rock. Each print magazine issue has been fully digitized in high-resolution color, including all articles, illustrations, and advertisements. The full text of every issue is completely searchable. The collection contains more than 1,400 issues with over 100,000 pages and more than 91,000 articles.

WorldCat is a shared catalog that allows you to discover materials held by thousands of libraries in North America and around the world. It includes books, journals, archival materials, dissertations, government publications, maps, music, musical scores, audio recordings, videos, and many other types of materials. In total, it includes more than 500 million records.

WorldCat clearly identifies items held by Rutgers, and “Get it @ R” links allow you check availability and request options in QuickSearch. For items not owned by Rutgers, you can view a list of libraries that own the item, and you can use the “Request Interlibrary Loan” link to request that the item be obtained from another library.

Dissertations & Theses Global is a database of doctoral dissertations and master's theses from institutions around the world. It includes records for international dissertations beginning in 1637 and U.S. dissertations beginning in 1861 (the year the first doctoral dissertation was accepted at a U.S. institution).
