Information on types of program specializations offered; the number of undergraduate and graduate student enrollees; degrees awarded; number and type of faculty; along with demographic data on gender and ethnicity for both students and faculty.
SIL International is a faith-based nonprofit organization committed to serving language communities worldwide as they build capacity for sustainable language development. SIL does this primarily through research, translation, training and materials development. While the focus is on practical missionary activities, SIL is a leader in the identification and documentation of the world's languages. Results of that research are published in Ethnologue: Languages of the World, a comprehensive catalog of the world's more than 7.000 living languages. SIL adds an average of 1,000 new titles annually, many included in their Language & Culture Archive.
