About this Guide

This guide will lead you along the basic steps in searching for a job in business and management, from exploring career possibilities to researching industries and companies, to identifying profession and industry-specific sources for job postings.
 

Guide Navigation

Use the menu tabs in the left sidebar to navigate to the following pages:

  • Explore Career Options: Take a career interest self-assessment, explore jobs in different industries based on your interests, and view top companies in a variety of industries.
     
  • Survey the Industries: Resources for finding industry information, such as news, trends, market size, competitors, and more.
     
  • Research Companies: Resources for finding company financials, reports, profiles, salaries, and more.
     
  • Compare Salaries: Resources for finding salaries based on job, company, and industry.
     
  • Browse General Job Openings: Lists of national and regional job sites.
     
  • Browse Specific Industry & Job-Type Openings: List of job sites for type of job, such as remote work, and specific industry (such as accounting or human resources).
     
  • Get Help: Post your resume online, connect with Rutgers career counselors, and view pre-recorded workshops.
