Biota of North America Program (BONAP) developed a unified digital system for reviewing the most current taxonomy, nomenclature, and distribution of plants and animals in North America.

FNA presents for the first time, in one published reference source, information on the names, taxonomic relationships, continent-wide distributions, and morphological characteristics of all plants native and naturalized found in North America north of Mexico.

This web site represents a national effort led by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to update the National Wetland Plant List (NWPL)... The NWPL (and the information implied by its wetland plant species status ratings) is used extensively in wetland delineation, wetland restoration and research, and the development of compensatory mitigation goals, as well as in providing general botanical information about wetland plants.

The metropolitan plant encyclopedia consists of a series of comprehensive pages on the plants of the New York metropolitan region. For each family, genus, and species in the area there are one or more pages with photos, distribution maps, descriptions, ecological information, references and much more.

The Pennsylvania Flora Project of Morris Arboretum provides users with species checklists, as well as information on rare and invasive plants, plant communities and current research.

The PLANTS Database provides standardized information about the vascular plants, mosses, liverworts, hornworts, and lichens of the U.S. and its territories.
