20th Century American Art: Art in the Age of the New Deal

This guide was designed to help you begin your research for 20th Century American Art: Art in the Age of the New Deal.

Find Books

The library catalog is the best place to search for books. You can search the catalog using the search box provided above or by going to our website and clicking on the "Books and More" tab.

  • Select your search type  (words anywhere, title, author, subject)
  • Enter your search terms
  • Select Library (optional)
  • Use ADVANCED SEARCH to narrow the results down (books, sound recordings, video)

If you need a book quickly, use the "Select Library" dropdown menu to limit your search to books that are in CAMDEN.

If the book is not available in Camden, you can request the item for delivery by clicking on the Book Delivery/Recall button.

If the book is not available at Rutgers, you can request the item for delivery from another university by clicking on the EZ-Borrow button.

Sound Recordings and non-circulation books (BOOK-N) are requested by clicking on the Book Special Request button.

Google Books

Searching the library catalog helps you find books that are part of the library collection, but Rutgers is not able to purchase a copy of every book. Therefore, you may need to turn to other sources to search for books, which you can then request through EZ Borrow, UBorrow, or Interlibrary Loan.

You can search for books using Google Books, Amazon, or Worldcat, the world library catalog.
