This is a nonpartisan, nonprofit “consumer advocate” for voters that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics. They monitor the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews and news releases.

PolitiFact

PolitiFact is owned by the nonprofit Poynter Institute for Media Studies. PolitiFact focuses on looking at specific statements made by politicians and rating them for accuracy and is run by the editors and journalists who make up the PolitiFact team.

OpenSecrets.org is non-profit and non-partisan organization. It's a comprehensive resource for federal campaign contributions, lobbying data and analysis.
