Apa egy hit naplója/Father : diary of one week 1966
István Szabó, Andras Balint, Miklós Gábor, Klári Tolnay, Stúdió 3, MAFILM, and Kino International Corporation
"A young boy's vivid imagination liberates him from the grim realities of war-torn Hungary...Ever since the death of his father, young Tako has filled the paternal void with a series of fantasies in which his father is envisioned as a partisan freedom-fighter, a cultured world traveler and a decorated hero...By depicting Tako in the wake of World War II and on the brink of the revolution in the 1960's, filmmaker Istvan Szabo mirrors the confusion of childhood with the turmoi of political upheaval. The result is an ode to the human spirit, and a memorable tribute to those determined to survive in the face of adversity."--Container. 1 videodisc (89 min.) :

A man whose lonely life at the edge of the sea has become as predictable as the tide witnesses a murder that sends him on an existential journey the likes of which he could never have anticipated in director Bela Tarr's philosophical drama. Maloin had reached a point in life where he was content to embrace loneliness while turning a blind eye to the inevitable decay that surrounded him. Upon bearing witness to a shocking murder, however, the man who once lived a life of quiet solitude is forced to wrestle with such profound issues as punishment, mortality, and the sin of complicity in a crime he didn't even commit. Now, despite Maloin's simple wish to be free and happy, he must journey deep within his inner-self to confront emotions that he never once fathomed in his long yet uneventful existence. 1 videodisc (139 min.) :

He is struggling to write a great novel. Every morning he sits down to write after feeding his cat and letting it out into the streets. The point-of-view of the film is that of the cat as perceived through the its eyes, ears and brain.
