- Curt Teich Postcard Archives Digital Collection (Newberry Library)This collection is widely regarded as the largest public collection of postcards and related materials in the United States. When received at the Newberry Library it was estimated at 2.5 million items, and well over a half-million unique postcard images.

- National Trust Library Historic Postcards Collection - University of MarylandThis collection preserves unique and engaging images of people and places in early twentieth century America. This site includes a link to the "United States Government Poster Collection."

- Sjoerd Koopman Library Postcard Collection - UIUCThe collection of almost 18,000 cards consists of external as well as interior views of different libraries an other cultural institutions. The images are in color and black/white, vintage and modern, and is still growing. It includes postcards of buildings of public, academic, national, mobile, medical, museum and private libraries, reading rooms, catalog halls, etc.
- University of San Diego, Digital USDCopley Library’s Special Collections holds a collection of over 6,000 postcards documenting local, national, and international places that were of interest to twentieth century travelers.
- Ziperman Postcard Collection at Trinity UniversityThe period between 1898 and 1918 is considered the "Golden Age of Postcards." Most postcards were manufactured by high quality printers in Germany and Austria; World War I shifted the production of many cards to the United States, where quality diminished. The postcards in this collection were all produced during this time period.
