NBL Virtual background

This Libguide contains files of virtual backgrounds that can be used for Zoom or Webex meetings.

 

There are many ways to change your virtual background.  You can google the instructions, or follow the steps below.  Please contact NBL Unit Computing Specialists if you need further assistance.

 

How to change your background in Zoom

  • Click on the thumbnail of the image that you like.
  • When you see the image in full size, click the download button on the top right corner to save the image to your computer.

 

Before the Zoom meeting, open the Zoom app.

  • From the top navigation menu, select Preferences>>Settings>>Background & Filters
  • Click the icon to add image
  • Look for the file of the image that you have downloaded earlier. 

During the Zoom meeting,

  • Click on the ^ next to Stop video. 
  • Click Choose Virtual Background
  • Click the icon to add image
  • Look for the file of the image that you have downloaded earlier. 

 

How to change your background in Webex

  • Click on the thumbnail of the image that you like.
  • When you see the image in full size, click the download button on the top right corner to save the image to your computer.

When you are having Webex meeting,

  • Click on the v next to Stop video.
  • Select Change Virtual Background
  • When you see a list of images, scroll down until you see the icon to add your favorite image.

How to change your background in Teams

  • Within a video call, select the More actions button (three dots).
  • Select Apply background effects.
  • Scroll down and select another image or an image you've uploaded.
  • Select Preview to preview how your background will look (optional).
  • Select Apply or Apply and turn on video if your webcam is currently off.
