Why do I need to look up a trade society or association?

Associations or Organizations are extremely important resources when we try to gather information about a particular kind of industry.  The associations represent a particular kind of trade or business.  Not only do they act as a lobby group for policy making, but they are also responsible for raising awareness of some important issues and collecting data that can be used in your research.
