HealthyNJ is a web-based, New Jersey-focused, consumer health website developed in 1999 by librarians at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, now part of Rutgers University.HealthyNJ has grown dramatically since its inception. In 2001, HealthyNJ began with 33 topics. Since then, Spanish language content has been added and topics now number over 500 in the various portals: Diseases & Conditions, Health & Wellness, Health in NJ, Just for Kids and Teens and Reference Desk.
