Among the services available:
- Swank Digital Campus
- has an inventory of over 25,000 films, documentaries and TV shows. Because this service is maintained to support classroom instruction, the films available through Swank will vary from semester to semester.
- Kanopy
- Has an inventory of some 30,000 documentaries, as well as classic, foreign, and indie films. Producers include the Criterion Collection, New Day Films, California Newsreel, Kino Lorber, PBS, and First Run Features. As is the case with Swank, what is accessible from Kanopy will vary from semester to semester and is determined by faculty request.
- Academic Video Online
- A collection of over 60,000 streaming videos in a wide variety of academic areas. Includes many documentaries and filmed stage productions.
- Asian FIlm Online
- More than 600 narrative feature films, documentaries, and short films from independent Asian filmmakers.
- Silent Film Online
- More than 1,000 silent feature films, documentaries, serials, and shorts from the 1890s to the 1930s.
- Filmakers Library Online
- Over 1,500 feature-length documentary films made by independent filmakers from all over the world.
- Socialism on Film
- Digitized films originally produced in communist countries during the 20th century.
- Tubi TV
- A legal site where you can watch films for free. You do have to register and there are commercials that you have to periodically sit through--so just like TV!
