PAPER TWO: THE RESEARCH PAPER

For your second and final at-home essay, you will complete a 7-8 page paper wherein you will research one of the four topics provided to you. These topics are dealing with controversial issues facing the nursing profession. You will use what you learned in your library session to help in your research pursuits. You will also have a conference with me on Tuesday, August 1st, to discuss your research topic so please have it chosen by then. Pick ONE of the following topics:

1) The role of nursing research in identifying and addressing health disparities among marginalized populations (i.e. LGBTQ+, BIPOC, Religious minorities in the US, people with disabilities, unhoused people, etc.)

2) The societal implications (financial, moral, medical. etc.) of nurses going on strike. Should nurses go on strike?

3) The impact of language barriers and health literacy/advocacy on health disparities among minority populations

4) The future of technology and AI integration in nursing education: trends, innovations, and opportunities

As stated, your paper must be 7-8 pages long, and each paragraph should be 5-8 sentences in length. Your paper should be typed in 12 point, Times New Roman font, double spaced, and have one-inch margins on all sides. You must use the appropriate heading and pagination format in your paper as instructed in class. This paper is due Friday, August 4th by 11:59pm to be submitted on Canvas.
