Databases

The best databases for researching Middle Eastern literature are still the two primary databases focusing on literary studies, The MLA Bibliography and Literature Online (LION). However, there are some databases with a more narrow focus that may include citations not found in those databases.

Database of Arabic Literature in Western Research
Internet-based bibliographic database of books, articles, chapters of books and reviews written in English relating to Arabic literature.
Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals
Access to 389 open access peer-reviewed Iraqi journals.
Noormags: Noor Specializecd Magazines Website
Index to journals on Islamic sciences and the Humanities. A project of the Computer Research Center of Islamic Sciences in Iran.
The Online Bibliography of Ottoman-Turkish Literature
References to theses, books, articles, papers and on-going projects that relate to research into Ottoman-Turkish literature and culture.
