Passwords

 

  • Do NOT use the same password for accounts
  • Do NOT share your passwords
  • Do use fictional security question answers
  • Do use two factor authentication
  • Create strong passwords using a passphrase: (https://www.eff.org/dice)
    • Roll 5 Dice (https://www.random.org/dice/)
    • Write your results in order (example: 1,2,4,2,2 )
    • Go to EFF Word List: (https://www.eff.org/files/2016/07/18/eff_large_wordlist.txt)
    • Find the number from your first roll (example: 12422)
    • Write it down: (example: asparagus)
    • Repeat steps 1-4 until you have a phrase (example: asparagus error evolution glance tarantula)
    • Your passphrase is complete (example: asparaguserrorevolutionglancetarantula)
