How to use Factiva

Explains the content available through Factiva and the various ways to search it.


Use Factiva's News Pages feature to find and read current headlines and full-text articles of several major newspapers and magazines, including The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

  • Connect to the Factiva database
  • From the Factiva landing page, hover your cursor over the News Pages link located in the top black navigation bar, and then select Factiva Pages. This will connect you to the Newsstand page. 



  • On the right will be headlines from the current issue of The Wall Street Journal followed by The New York Times, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, USA Today, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Tampa Bay Times, Barron's and Forbes. Drop down menus to select date (going back 2 weeks) and section (e.g. "Front Page" or "National Desk") allow for easy navigation. 




  • At the top of the Newstand column, you can also do a free text search of the Newstand pages.
