About the Guide

This guide is intended to help you get started with doing research for your paper.  Please contact a librarian if you would like further help.

Learning Goals

Students attending the library research session for English 102 class will learn how to:

  • find books about their topic using the Rutgers Library Catalog;
  • find scholarly articles about their topic using indexes and databases such as Academic Search Premier and Literature Resource Center;
  • evaluate information sources;
  • prepare and save/e-mail a quick bibliography in MLA style from databases.
