National History Day New Jersey Resources 2023 / 2024

Locating Journal Articles

Most public and academic libraries in New Jersey subscribe to Academic Search Premiere.  This is primarily a secondary source index, although it has the backfiles of some journals (for example, The Saturday Evening Post, and Time have full text back to the late 1930's)

Most public libraries in New Jersey have a database on African American History.

Each library will have other useful resources.  Ask at your local reference desk for assistance.

There are freely available online indexes, such as Google Scholar, but there is little access to full text of the articles. The HathiTrust includes some bound volumes of journals, but these can be difficult to locate and maneuver.
