Opening and Closing the Library

OPENING PROCEDURES  
Turn on circulation desk light.  Which is to the left of front entrance  
2 Open Office, circulation and copy room doors using Key # RA58  
3 Turn on computers  
4 Log on to a computer using your NETID & PASSWORD  
5 Log into ALMA using your NETID & PASSWORD  
6 Close Book drop using closed Bar.  Open door to check for books inside the drop basket.  (Return key to Library)  
7 Do 1st and 2nd hour open people count.  
  CLOSING PROCEDURES  
1 Do 1st and 2nd hour before closing people count.   (8 AND 9 PM OR 3 AND 4 PM)  
2 Announce closing 30 min. before closing then 15 min. before closing.  
3 Put all trash from office and circ. desk in large trash bins in library. Office trash is only picked up on Monday's.  
4 Push in library chairs, pick up trash, books, and close library blinds.  
5 15 min. before closing - Open bookdrop (Place keys & bar on the circulation desk)  
6 Log off and Turn off circulation desk computers at closing.  
7 Lock front door at closing using BR521 AND all office doors using RA58.  
8 Turn off lights.  6 switches at circ desk and 1 next to front door.
