English 201 Research in the Disciplines: NAVIGATING

This guide provides an overview of library resources and services for students enrolled in English 201.

About this page

To find information in the Libraries, it is important to identify and understand what type of information you need. Are you looking for a book, a journal, or an article? The activities on this page will help you:

  • Learn how to identify citations by watching the video on the right, "Identifying Citations."
  • Discover how to find a book or article from a citation by watching the video on the right, "Finding books and articles from citations."
  • Set up your InterLibrary Loan account, directly below this box.
  • Know which tab to use in the Libraries Search Box when searching for articles, books, or journals.
  • Complete the Activity: Navigating Citations - How much do I know?

Note: You can learn about citation formats and tools in the tab "Managing Citations."

Set up your Interlibrary Loan and Article Delivery account

You may think you won't be using interlibrary loan and article delivery services, however, this service will take articles Rutgers Libraries owns in hard copy and create a PDF for you, so you don't have to track down the article yourself. In addition, if we don't own the article, we will arrange to get an electronic copy for you and it is often available in only 1-2 days.

Follow the link to set up your InterLibrary Loan account, so it will be available when you need it:

InterLibrary Loan Registration

If you have any problems setting up an account, please call 848-932-6000, and choose option 2.

Once you have set up your InterLibrary Loan account use the following link to request this article delivery service:
