Are you looking for a book? You can use our library catalog to find books held at any of the Rutgers Libraries. Here are the key activities on this page:
If the book is IN-LIBRARY, you can go to the library to check it out or use Book Delivery to have it delivered to a convenient Rutgers library location for you.
If the book is CHECKEDOUT or MISSING, use E-Z Borrow to request the book from a library outside of Rutgers.
If the book is IN-PROCESS or PENDING, use Book Delivery to initiate priority processing and delivery.
If the book is ON ORDER, use Special Request to have the book delivered to you once it has been received.

Sometimes it is easier to search for books in other locations. You can try online booksellers or consolidated catalogs (some are listed below). We may still have the book, so once you find it elsewhere, you can search our catalog by title. If we don't have it, we can obtain books from many other libraries for you through our E-ZBorrow service.
Google Books provides information on millions of books and many of these books allow you to search for your terms inside the book. Don't be surprised if the Google search engine finds books for you that Rutgers does own but didn't appear in your Rutgers Catalog search because we can't search inside our books.
WorldCat offers more than 110 million bibliographic records representing holdings information from libraries in forty-five countries. Many New Jersey libraries, including Rutgers, contribute on a daily basis. WorldCat includes resources in 400 languages, dating from before 1000 BC to the present.
