Citation Management

RefWorks is a web-based application for managing citations, and is free to Rutgers students, faculty and staff. It enables you to import references from many electronic databases, include citations while you write papers, and build a bibliography according to different stylesheets.

Sometimes when you have accessed our databases from off-campus, you may be asked for a "Group Code" before you can export citations to RefWorks.  Our group code is: RWRutgers.  Once you enter this, you will then be pushed to the regular RefWorks login page.

NEW: RefWorks3!

Other Citation Management Tools:

Zotero is a free, open-source research management tool that is a Firefox add on. It enables you to collect, manage, and cite research sources.
