What is ...?

CIRCULATION DESK: A service desk in the library lobby where you check out and return library books and other materials including those delivered from other libraries.  

REFERENCE DESK: A service desk where you ask the reference librarian to help you find specific information or use library resources.

COMPUTER LAB: A computer center in the library for students to use.  

Reference Librarians & Service

Reference Service is provided by professional librarians who help library users with information needs. The service is provided at the reference desk (1st floor, phone: 973-353-5901), through email ( Ask a Librarian ), instant message, and phone calls. Users can also have private consultations with librarians.

Borrowing: Current students are eligible to check out books, book media for preview and classroom use.

Delivery and Interlibrary Loan: You can use this service to request books and articles unavailable in your campus library or in Rutgers. The books will be delivered to a Rutgers library of your choice and articles to your email.

Printing: All the computers in the library are connected to printers. For every current student, there will be no charge for the first $30 of printing (equivalent to 750 sheets in black and white) for every six month printing period.

Scanning: Scanners are available in the copy room in the library lobby. Scanning is free to Rutgers students.  

Photocopying: Photocopy machines are available in the copy room. Black and white copies cost $0.10 per page.

Wireless Access: The access (with RU NetID & passward) is available on 1st floor, 2nd floor and 4th floor in Dana Library. See the coverage map.
