CATALOG: A database with information about books and other materials in the library. If you are looking for a book, search the catalog.
CALL NUMBER: A group of letters and/or numbers that identifies a specific item in a library. You need the call number to locate an item.
CHECKEDOUT: Borrowed by (charged to) a user. It means that the item is not in the library.
REF (Reference item): It is shelved in the reference area and can only be used in the library.
RESV-DANA: On Reserve Desk in Dana Library. It can be borrowed and used in the library for a certain period of time.
STACKS: If the sublocation is STACKS and the status is IN-LIBRARY, you can retrieve the item from the shelf yourself and check it out.
If the book is:
1. available in Dana Library, write down its Call Number, go to the 2nd floor and retrieve the book from the Stacks.
2. only available in other Rutgers libraries, you can place a Request for its delivery to a convenient Rutgers library location for you.
3. on Reserves, write down its Call Number and retrieve it at the Reserve Desk in Dana Library.
4. CHECKEDOUT, Missing or unavailable in Rutgers Libraries, use E-ZBorrow to request delivery of the book from outside Rutgers to your library.
