(a) Saving Searches and Results in QuickSearch
A new search interface that covers books as well as articles. QuickSearch incorporates/replaces the Rutgers Library catalog.
Searches RUL holdings but allows Boolean searches and provides facets for limiting by format, date, language, etc. Strongly recommended for more effective searching.
Global catalog of library collections allowing researchers to identify materials beyond Rutgers collections.
JerseyCat is New Jersey's statewide catalog and interlibrary loan system. With JerseyCat you can search multiple online catalogs simultaneously and view the results in one list.
ProQuest Ebook Central
A multi-disciplinary collection of approximately 130,000 e-books. As of June, 2017, these are not yet included in the library catalog, so a separate search of this database is needed.
Using the Catalogs
Why check both the Library Catalog and WorldCat?
- Some materials, e.g. videos, at Rutgers are only uploaded into WorldCat once a year.
- Some materials are never uploaded, e.g. electronic books since our contract with the vendor won’t allow access outside of Rutgers.
- No system is perfect and some items get missed in large uploads from one organization to another.
