Persistent Links: EBSCO

How to create persistent links to Library e-resources for linking in courseware, email, etc.

Permalink in EBSCO Databases

EBSCO databases provide access to an article with a Permalink.  When you search articles using "Articles tab" or "Article+" on the Rutgers libraries web site, you are also using an EBSCO product.

  • Click on the article title to obtain the complete record.
  • Select "Permalink" under Tools to the right of the article.
  • Copy the Permalink URL created
  • The Libraries proxy prefix should already be added for you.
  • Copy/paste the full link and TEST IT!

EBSCO databases also provide DOIs. If you prefer to use this method, follow the directions under the DOI tab.

Permalink from full text article in EBSCO

You may also link directly to the pdf if it is included in the EBSCO database.

  • Open the pdf included in the record
  • Click on the permalink clip on the right
  • Copy the Permalink URL created
  • The proxy prefix has already been added for you.
  • Copy/paste the full link and TEST IT!
