There is a computer lab with over 90 computers in the reference area, all of which can be accessed by Rutgers students and faculty with their Rutgers NetID.
In addition, there are 6 library computers in the reference area for non-Rutgers users, who can obtain a user name and password from the Reference Desk with a state issued ID. All the computers have Internet access, DVD/CD-ROM drives, and functions for download and printing.
The Copy Room in the library lobby has a photocopier, and scanners, one of which has fax function. Rutgers students and faculty can use their Rutgers NetID to login and scan for free; members of the public can charge their scans to a copycard, which can be purchased from a copycard machine in the room.
The Dana Library has automatic entrance and exit doors. Elevators, with selectors at wheelchair height and marked in braille, lead to all floors. Tables for computers with online access, the Reference Desk, and the Circulation Desk are adapted for wheelchair specifications. A Kurzweil reading machine for visually impaired patrons is also available for use.
There are microfiche readers with print, scan and save functions in the reference area and in the Media Department on 4th floor of the library. The fiche readers only accept copycards purchased from the copycard machine in the library.
