Embase is a global biomedical and pharmacological research database. Embase combines the complete indexing of MEDLINE with indexing for over 2,900 additional journals. In total, Embase includes indexing for articles in over 8,000 currently published journals from over 90 countries. It also includes abstracts from over 11,000 conferences.

Facts and Comparisons is a source of drug information for pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals. Micromedex is a reference database for evidence-based drug, disease, and toxicology information. Rutgers University Libraries subscribes to the academic version of Micromedex, which also includes Red Book, which provides drug manufacturer and pricing information. Micromedex offers searching by drug, disease, or toxicology. In addition, the Micromedex Assistant search uses artificial intelligence to produce answers to simple drug reference questions.

UpToDate Lexidrug is a drug referential platform that gives clinicians the information they need to make evidence-based drug decisions that address patients’ unique needs. It provides information about drug doses, mechanisms of action, drug interactions, adverse effects, and more.
