Lusophone Language, Literature and Culture: Find Criticism in the Library Catalog

Use this guide to aid your research in Portuguese, Brazilian and Lusophone Africa Studies

Finding Criticism in the Library Catalog

Helpful Hint: Use the subject phrase "criticism and interpretation" as part of your search in the Library Catalog.

For example, a subject search for:

Saramago, José -- Criticism and interpretation

will only display books about the works of José Saramago, not the works he wrote.

If the author's name is not a common one you will also want to do a Words Anywhere search. This will return results where the author is mentioned in the table of contents, but may not be the subject of the whole book.
