The Libraries have purchased a series of data files from Dave Leip, producer of the Atlas of US Elections.

These data provide election returns at the county level for all states in the US, in Excel format.

For Presidential Elections, data is available for 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, and 2008.

For elections to the House of Representatives, data is available for 2006, 2008, and 2010.

Data is also available for all Governor's races occuring in the years 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.

These files are not web-accessible.  Please contact Ryan Womack [contact info in the profile to the right ] to obtain the files.  Only Rutgers-affiliated students, faculty, and staff are permitted to obtain the data.
