Finding a funder

An excellent database for finding a funder is the Foundation Directory. It provides information on over 100,000 philanthropic foundations, plus charities and federal agencies that might fund your project. Make sure to click on Advanced Search & Filters for better search options. You can filter by, for example, Population Served and Geographic Focus.

If you have a Rutgers proposal, and you're not sure who might fund it, try searching Rutgers University-wide Offices

New Jersey state agencies may offer grant funding opportunities, so try searching individual state departments or agencies
