What is PubMed?

PubMed is a database of more than 30 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. PubMed’s primary focus is biomedicine and health sciences, but it also includes related fields such as life sciences, behavioral sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering. PubMed is updated daily with citations for the latest published research.

 

Use MeSH terms (Medical Subject Headings) to search PubMed.

1. My NCBI Filters: With an account, you can save a number of filters so that every search you perform automatically applies these filters. Click here to learn more.

2. Filters: Use these to narrow your search. There are a variety of filters to choose from, including but not limited to year, text availability, article type, species, and article language.

3. Boxes: Check these to select multiple articles. You can copy them to the clipboard or save them in batches.

NOTE: At the bottom of the results page, related search terms will appear.
