London, Herbert. “Five Myths of the Television Age.” Television Quarterly, vol. 10, no. 1, Mar. 1982, pp. 81-89.
Herbert London was the Dean of Journalism at New York University. In this article, he explains how television contradicts five commonly-believed assumptions about this medium. He uses specific examples of events seen on television, such as the assassination of John Kennedy, to illustrate his points. London refer to any previous works on his topic. The article clearly illustrates his points, but does not explore the implications of his points, which leaves the reader with many unanswered questions.
An annotated bibliography is a list of citations for books, articles, and other resources you may have used in a writing project. The annotated bibliography looks like a Works Cited page, but it contains an annotation after each source cited. An annotation is a summary and/or evaluation of a source. Comprehensive annotated bibliographies can be stand-alone writing projects.
