Are you feeling a bit concerned about searching journal indexes or any other aspects of library research? The University Libraries has a series of tutorials on the research guide, Research in the Disciplines, which includes sections on journal database searching and finding fulltext articles among other topics. Please go to http://libguides.rutgers.edu/English201
This research guide has been designed to help you with your writing assignment about themes from Ozeki's Tale for the Time Being for Professor Morgan's English 102 course, in particular, and to support your development of information literacy and library research skills. It has been organized by the steps you will take in using the University Libraries' resources and services: creating a concept map to develop your ideas, finding books in the online catalog and appropriate journal article citations in Academic Search Premier or MLA International Bibliography, locating the articles in fulltext/pdf, organizing the citations in a citation manager, and, finally, citing your sources according to MLA style.
Please let me know if you have any questions about your library research. My contact information is listed in the box to the right. You can also reach any librarian with your questions by using the Ask A Librarian sidebar on the pages of the University Libraries website.
