has taught students from elementary school to adult learners.  She has a B.A. from Brooklyn College, CUNY, an M.L.S. from Pratt Institute, and an M.S. in School Administration from Touro College.

Patricia Bender

is a Research/Grant Specialist in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at Rutgers, Newark.   Ms. Bender is also a poet, writing teacher, and learning coach.  She is a National Writing Project consultant, and serves as Associate Editor of Amherst Writers and Artists Press, and on the board of the Friends of the Newark Public Library.
