Finding Electronic Books

You can search the Rutgers Library Catalog for Electronic Books:


1. Choose Advanced Search

2. Enter your search information (author, title, keyword, etc) in the appropriate fields. 

3. Select Library: RU-ONLINE (Rutgers Digital Library)

4. Select Format: Books

5. Click SEARCH button

Results will be limited to electronic resources that are books. Click on the link to access the document.

How Do I find electronic books (e-books)?

Finding Books

Begin your search for books in the Library Catalog. From our homepage, click on the "Books and More" tab.

  • Select your search type  (words anywhere, title, author, subject)
  • Enter your search terms
  • Select Library (optional)
  • Use ADVANCED SEARCH to narrow the results down (books, sound recordings, video)
  • SUBJECT HEADINGS- Click on these for more items with this subject.
  • Mark Items, so you can view catalog info for only those you are interested in.
  • On the Robeson homepage, use the Call Number Finder for the location in the building of the book.

If the book is not available in Camden, you can request the item for delivery by clicking on the Book Delivery/Recall button.

If the book is not available at Rutgers, you can request the item for delivery from another university by clicking on the EZ-Borrow button.

Sound Recordings and non-circulating books (BOOK-N) are requested by clicking on the Book Special Request button.
