Stem Cell Research

A guide to scientific, governmental, commercial, ethical and political resources pertaining to Stem Cell research.

Overview

The use of stem cells in medical research is one of the most discussed developments in recent years.  Stem cells are able to replicate themselves and transform into the vast majority of cell types. This research might lead to cures for a variety of medical conditions. Remedies developed using stem cells have enormous business potential. The use of stem cells from human embryos, however, has made this line of research controversial on ethical and religious grounds. The following research guide offers clues on how to do research in the various aspects of this topic.
