Art Library Research Guide: Managing Citations

Visit this research guide for books, articles, images, websites, and other resources for your art and art history classes.

Zotero

Zotero is a free citation management software.  It automatically senses content, allowing you to add it to your personal library with a single click. Whether you want to add a book citation from our library catalog or Amazon, a journal article from JSTOR or a news story from the New York Times, Zotero allows you to add the citations with a click.  You can use Zotero to create a bibliography (cited reference page) or add footnotes.

Questions about Zotero can be sent to Mei Ling Lo (mlo@rutgers.edu).

RefWorks

RefWorks is a Web-based citation management software. With RefWorks, you can create your own research database and generate bibliographies or works cited lists in a specified style such as APA.  All of the sources listed under the Finding Journals tab will allow you to export references to RefWorks. And you can also find out more about using RefWorks at Rutgers by going to this research guide: http://libguides.rutgers.edu/refworks

Here are videos to help you learn more about using RefWorks!
