Public scanning stations are available throughout the libraries. Scan options allow for various file formats including pdf, tiff, and jpeg, black and white or color images, optical character recognition, cropping, and more. The choices for destination of scanned images are:
- scan to email;
- scan to USB;
- scan to Google Docs;
- scan to smartphone or tablet via QR code;
- scan to Fax using a library copy card, charged $2.00 for one or two pages, and $1 for each additional page beyond two;
- scan to print using print allowance where applicable*, or a library copy card charged $.10 for B&W and $.25 for color.
*Please note that users with a NetID can scan to print directly to computing labs at Alexander, Art, Douglass, Carr, and LSM.
Fee based scanning is paid for by copy cards, which can be purchased from copy card vending machines located throughout Rutgers University Libraries.
